Eduard 1:72 painting masks BAC TSR-2 are a set of self-adhesive kabuki masks for cleanly spraying the canopy frames of the British strike aircraft TSR-2.
Responsibility details are not available.
These painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard are intended for models of the British BAC TSR-2 strike aircraft in 1:72 scale. The parts of low-tack kabuki tape follow the shape of the glazing exactly and cover the clear areas so that spraying leaves straight, sharp canopy frames. The lengthy cutting of masking tape falls away.
The BAC TSR-2 was a British supersonic tactical strike and reconnaissance aircraft of the early 1960s with a delta wing and, for its day, very advanced avionics. Despite its promising performance the project was canceled in 1965 and only a few prototypes survived. To this day it is among the legendary what-if aircraft of aviation history.
Lift the parts off the sheet, transfer them onto the glazing and press them down with a soft tool. Fill in the smaller frames with strips of tape or with liquid mask. Spray the frame color and then the outer shade, and remove the masks while the paint has only just dried.
The masks are an accessory for spraying, not a model. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
