This set is a modeling accessory, not a model of an aircraft. It contains a vacuum-formed clear cockpit canopy for the British Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib fighter-bomber in 1:72 scale. The thin, well-lit part replaces the original glazing from the kit and lifts the overall impression of the model.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War. It became famous as a destroyer of ground targets, armed with cannons and unguided rockets, and played an important part in supporting the Allied troops after the Normandy landings.
Cut the canopy out carefully outside the engraved line and sand the edge down. Dipping it in a gloss varnish raises the clarity. For gluing, use thin PVA glue or a special glue for canopies, which does not fog clear areas. Mask the frames carefully before spraying.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.
