This resin set from Special Hobby replaces the plastic exhausts on models of the Hawker Typhoon Mk.I fighter-bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit, but a detail accessory. Faithfully cast exhausts with hollow openings lift the look of the sides of the engine cowling, where the plastic part usually looks simplified.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter-bomber powered by the powerful Napier Sabre engine. It became known for attacks on ground targets in the closing period of the Second World War. The short side exhausts are among its distinctive recognition features.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and dry-fit them before gluing. They are bonded with super glue. Paint the exhausts in rusty brown and metallic shades, and support the burnt steel effect with pigments and a wash.
The set contains only resin exhausts. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package.
