This resin set from Eduard brings four faithfully rendered UB-32A-24 rocket pods for 1:72 models of the Mi-24 attack helicopter. Each pod consists of a resin body, a resin rear cover and a photo-etched rear plate; decals with technical stenciling complete the package. It is not a helicopter model but an aftermarket accessory for its armament.
The UB-32 is a Soviet pod for 32 unguided 57 mm S-5 rockets. It was hung under the stub wings and pylons of the Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter and other Soviet aircraft and belonged to their typical armament for supporting ground forces. The A-24 version was adapted specifically for helicopter carriers.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond both the photo-etched rear plate and the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Assemble each pod dry before gluing and check that the parts are aligned. Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish. Protect your airways while sanding.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
