An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Buffalo MPCV (Mine Protected Clearance Vehicle) in 1:72 scale from Vespid Models. The set combines plastic parts with 3D-printed extras and photo-etch. The characteristic articulated arm can be built either extended or stowed. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Buffalo is a heavy wheeled vehicle in 6x6 configuration with a tough V-shaped hull, intended for finding and neutralizing improvised explosive devices. With a large articulated arm fitted with cameras and sensors it can safely handle suspect objects from a safe distance. The vehicle has been in US Army service since the middle of the first decade of the 21st century.
Clean the 3D-printed parts of the remains of their supports and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); the plastic is joined by modeling cement for plastic. Finish the running gear and the detail before you close the hull. Decide in advance on the position of the working arm. A desert shade with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects suits it well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
