An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat multirole McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) F-15E Strike Eagle fighter-bomber in the colors of the US Air Force, in 1:72 scale. The model is released by the Korean manufacturer Academy. The package holds plastic parts, clear parts and a decal sheet with American markings.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is the two-seat strike version of the F-15 fighter, intended for air-to-ground as well as air-to-air missions in all weathers. It differs from the fighter variants in its crew of a pilot and a weapon systems officer, a strengthened structure, conformal fuel tanks (CFT) along the sides of the fuselage and the ability to carry heavy bomb and guided weapon loads. The type is one of the mainstays of the US tactical air arm.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, then sand and fill the seams. Apply a primer before painting. The dark gray finish is best sprayed with an airbrush; settle the decals on a gloss clear coat and unify the whole with a matte clear overcoat. It is practical to paint the external stores and the tanks separately and to fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
