The Vought F-8 Crusader was an American supersonic carrier fighter of the 1950s, characterized by a high-mounted wing with variable incidence. The F-8E version was the fighter variant with a more powerful engine and a radar in a lengthened nose. The Crusader was the last American fighter to rely above all on gun armament and made its name in the air fighting over Southeast Asia.
Paint the cockpit interior and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. The characteristic tilting wing of this type can be shown to good effect - decide before gluing whether to build the wing in the flight position or raised. Apply the navy scheme with an airbrush over a primer; the masks included make crisp edges easier. Bring out the panel lines with a gentle wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
