1:72 Water pump drains is a diorama accessory centered on a street water pump and the drainage elements around it.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a scene whose subject is a street water pump and the drainage elements that belong to it. It is not a model of a vehicle or an aircraft. It is scene equipment that is set into paving, into a yard or at the edge of a road and gives the scene a reason why the ground around is wet.
Water is a rewarding theme in a diorama, and a pump with a drain gives it a narrative excuse. Around the drain you can convincingly play out darkened paving, a thin layer of gloss medium or mud churned by wheels. In 1:72 a few millimeters of area are enough for a scene to gain a story, which is a fundamental advantage given the limited space of small bases.
The easiest way to fit the elements is to drill a shallow bed into the ground and sink the part into it, so that it does not stand on the surface as if stuck on. You will imitate metal with a dark base and a light pull of graphite, while the stone around the drain calls rather for a gray base with a hint of brown. Let rust run only downward, otherwise it looks unnatural.
The parts are small, so have fine tweezers ready and dose the glue drop by drop. It also works well to paint the elements away from the scene and fit them at the very end, when the terrain is finished and there is no risk of breaking them off or dusting them with paint during further work.
