This is a sheet of modeling decals in 1:72 scale from Print Scale, intended for finished Lysander models. The part two designation means the manufacturer has divided the subject across several sheets; check the machines shown and the number of schemes against the illustration of the sheet on the packaging. The aircraft model, the paints and the varnishes are not included.
The Westland Lysander was a British single-engined high-wing monoplane for cooperation with ground forces. You can recognize it by its distinctive wing with automatic leading-edge slats and flaps, by its fixed landing gear with aerodynamic fairings and by its radial engine. Its exceptionally short takeoff and landing run proved itself on makeshift strips. It was that very quality that later won it a role on night flights into occupied Europe, when it landed in unprepared meadows.
First finish the model in paint and coat the area under the decal with clear gloss varnish. Release the decal in lukewarm water, move it into place and press the water out from under the film with a soft brush, working from the center to the edges. On the fabric covering of the tail surfaces and over the ribs a decal softener helps. Once everything is thoroughly dry, apply a matte clear coat, which hides the edges of the film and evens out the surface.
