Weighted wheels Saab 35 Draken 1:72

This is not an aircraft model but a resin (3D-printed) wheel set for models of the Swedish Saab 35 Draken fighter. The wheels are made with a flattening where they meet the ground (under load), which imitates the way the tire is pressed down by the weight of the aircraft, with a fine tread and rim.

Use

  • Replacing the plastic wheels on a Saab 35 Draken model in 1:72.
  • A realistic flattening of the tire at the contact patch.
  • Suitable for a model standing on the ground.

Usage tips

  • Wash the uncured print resin residue off the parts and let them dry.
  • Cut the print supports away and clean up the contact surface.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Orient the flattening square to the ground.
