Roden Zeppelin Staaken R.VI 1:72 is a plastic kit of the German heavy four-engine bomber from the First World War, in the version built under license by the Aviatik company (R52/17).
Responsibility details are not available.
The sizeable injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Roden represents the German heavy bomber Zeppelin Staaken R.VI in 1:72 scale, specifically the machine built under license by the Aviatik company with the fuselage number R52/17. Given the giant dimensions of the real subject, even in this scale it is a large and rather demanding model with a quantity of parts and bracing.
The Zeppelin Staaken R.VI was one of the largest aircraft of the First World War, ranked in the category of the so-called Riesenflugzeuge (giant aircraft). It was a four-engine biplane bomber with a crew of several men, able to carry a considerable bomb load. Some of these machines came about under license at other manufacturers, among which the Aviatik company belonged as well.
On a sizeable biplane, pay attention to the correct seating of the spars and struts and to gluing the load-bearing structure firmly. Use thin cement for plastic. Tensioning the rigging lines will markedly increase the realism. Apply a primer before painting; the fabric covering and the wooden elements will stand out with a suitable shade and fine highlighting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
