This injection-molded plastic model in 1:72 scale captures the Czech light multi-purpose aircraft Zlin Z-43 in the military and ambulance form. It is a short-run kit with decals for several versions of markings. The model will please admirers of Czechoslovak aviation and complete a collection of smaller sport and utility aircraft.
The Zlin Z-43 is an all-metal high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear, which followed on from the proven range of sport and training aircraft from Otrokovice. Thanks to its roomy cabin and reliable piston engine it served for training, towing, liaison and in the ambulance role for carrying the sick. It flew in civil and military colors with a number of operators.
With a short-run kit it pays to clean the parts up and set them together dry beforehand. Mask the cabin glazing and glue it with a cement suitable for clear parts, so that it does not cloud. Apply a primer before painting; the bright civil and military shades come out well with an airbrush and gentle emphasis of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
