A emblem plaque for builders of dioramas. The plaque is fitted to a base, a plinth or a shelf and assigns a particular unit to a scene without anything having to be written in. It is not a kit and no model is built from it. The manufacturer gives the size designation 25 mm directly in the name, together with the honor title Hunyadi, which tells this item apart from the rest of the range.
The 25th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS was raised at the end of 1944 from Hungarian personnel, and its honor title refers to the Hungarian Hunyadi family. Training took place mainly on German territory and the unit practically never reached any larger fighting, because the war ended before it was fully ready. In 1945 its remnants surrendered to American units. It is therefore a formation closer to the improvisation of the closing phase than to a fully fledged combat body.
The plaque also suits scenes that show no combat action at all, that is training, rear-area or prisoner views. In such cases a label is all the more important, because the unit cannot be told from the terrain itself. Fit the plaque at the eye level of the viewer, that is rather toward the upper edge of the front of the base.
