The plaque 25 mm in size serves to label a base, not to build a model. Anyone who builds several scenes will appreciate that the Dynamo-Models range covers dozens of formations in the same format: a display case then reads as a unit and a viewer can tell what each scene portrays without a paper card. The size of 25 mm is the smaller of the two offered and suits narrower plinths and bases where a plaque is only to complete, not to dominate.
The 35th SS- und Polizei-Grenadier-Division was raised at the beginning of 1945 from members of police bodies and filled up hastily from various sources. It was committed on the Oder front and in the fighting southeast of Berlin, where it ended encircled in the area of Halbe in April 1945. For building a scene that gives a short and precisely defined period of the spring of 1945 and mixed equipment, because the formation came about from units with a different original purpose.
If you have several dioramas in a display case, agree one rule with yourself and keep to it: the same side of the base, the same height above the lower edge, the same surrounding paintwork. A unified placing will do more for the overall impression than the best painting of a single plaque. Before gluing, rid the surface of dust and grease. The relief will be brought out by a dark wash flowed into the hollows and wiped off the raised areas, and a final matte varnish will then even out the sheen.
