This three-dimensional puzzle from the Revell brand captures the famous cathedral in Cologne as a three-dimensional assembly model. It is not a classic plastic model: the printed rigid foam parts fit into one another precisely and the build gets by without glue, paints or scissors. The numbered parts lead the builder along step by step, so a beginner can manage the result as well.
Cologne Cathedral is among the largest Gothic churches in the world. The building was begun as early as the 13th century, but after long interruptions it was finished only in the 19th century. The pair of towers, roughly 157 meters tall, dominates the panorama of Cologne, and the cathedral is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Sort the parts out by their numbers and work from the base up to the towers. Join the intricate Gothic shapes with careful, even pressure, so that the printing does not ripple. The finished model only needs dusting now and then.
