A modeling paint from the anniversary range issued for the fortieth anniversary, in a shade named after graphite.
Responsibility details are not available.
A very dark black shade whose name refers to graphite. It belongs to the range issued for the fortieth anniversary, that is to the occasional editions that paint makers release outside their ordinary numbered ranges. Black is one of the most used colors on the modeling bench and at the same time one of the most treacherous, because pure, unrelieved black looks harsh on a small surface and swallows up all the detail beneath it.
On large surfaces it works better to suggest black than to flood the area with it: mist the base coat on and let a lighter tone show through in places, so that the model does not lose its shape.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, the pigment settles to the bottom. Apply it in thin coats onto a clean, degreased and dust-free surface, ideally over a primer that evens out the absorbency of plastic, filler and accessories. Black shows every scratch and every unsanded joint mercilessly, so go over the surface with fine abrasive paper before spraying. Thinning, cleaning the tools and the recommended spraying pressure follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; use the thinner intended for this range of paints and work in a well-ventilated room.
The paint itself is supplied. The thinner, the primer, the final varnish and the tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
