75mm Clay Cleaner

75mm Clay Cleaner - a 75 mm resin figure from PANZER ART

This is a single collector's figure cast in resin in the 75 mm figure size, the manufacturer's part number FI75-005. It is not a kit and not an accessory for a model, but a stand-alone figure to be glued and painted. It belongs to the 75 mm group that PANZER ART offers alongside its main military range in 1:35 and where, besides knights, subjects outside military equipment also appear. Clay Cleaner is the manufacturer's own title, not a description of a historical subject, so the color scheme is entirely up to you.

The 75 mm size and what follows from it

With figures, the figure of 75 mm is a size category of its own: it gives the approximate height of the figure and corresponds roughly to 1:24 scale. Compared with an ordinary military figure in 1:35 it is therefore considerably larger and offers far more room for the face, the eyes and the textures of skin and metal. That is why 75 mm is the home size of figure painters who paint a figure as a stand-alone display piece. A larger surface, however, forgives less.

Building and painting tips

Resin behaves differently from injection-molded plastic. First wash the parts in warm water with a drop of detergent so that any mold release residue disappears from the surface: without that the paint will not hold and will peel. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, do not snap them, and do not inhale the sanding dust from the resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); modeling cement for plastic does not work here. Before painting, apply a base coat in a thin layer, ideally by spraying.

Who the figure is for

• Figure painters who paint in 75 mm and are looking for an original subject
• Experienced modelers who have already worked with resin
• Painters who want to invent the color scheme themselves
• Collectors of stand-alone display figures

The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
