Fantasy and science fiction themes form a separate line with the PANZER ART marque and this item belongs to it. It depicts an armed member of a commando in full-body armor with a helmet, in the collector's size of 75 mm. It is sold as a set of castings, not as a finished painted object.
With a period figure the modeler watches over the correctness of the uniform down to the last button. Here the field is more open: armor is suited by metallic shades, chipped edges, dust and richly colored surfaces that would come across as jarring with a military theme. The smooth surface of the armor at the same time gives away every unevenness, so preparing the parts pays off twice over.
Wash the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the seams smooth. The assembly is held by cyanoacrylate glue, and with larger joints a pin of wire helps. A primer from a spray follows, best a dark one under metallic shades. The metal surfaces stand out with pigments or metallic paints, and at the close a discreet accentuation of the edges and light dirtying of the seams suits them.
The package contains unpainted parts, so the final look will arise only under your brush.
