Patnactka: the MiG-15 aircraft in the Czechoslovak Air Force, volume 2 is a publication from the Jakab Publishing house by the author M. Irra, devoted to the service of the MiG-15 fighter aircraft in the Czechoslovak Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a publication, not a kit and not a modeling accessory. The title appeared in the numbered series of the Jakab Publishing house as the second volume of a work devoted to the MiG-15 aircraft in the Czechoslovak Air Force; the author is M. Irra. In the same series a third volume follows on from this one and a first volume precedes it, so the whole set can be put together.
The MiG-15 was a Soviet single-engine jet fighter aircraft with a swept wing that became one of the most widespread types of its generation. In Czechoslovakia it was produced under license and in the fifties it formed the backbone of the fighter force; trainer and upgraded forms followed on from it in turn. The nickname Patnactka, meaning the Fifteen, took hold at home to such an extent that it passed into the name of this series.
Publications of this type tend to be sought after among modelers as source material for a build: they help to determine the correct version, form and markings of a particular machine, which with equipment built under license differ from the original Soviet machines.
This is a printed publication. It contains neither a model nor modeling material.
