An injection-molded plastic kit of the largest production airliner in the world, in 1:144 scale from Revell. The set offers textured surfaces, a well worked-out landing gear with many wheels, a suggested cockpit and detailed engine nacelles. An extensive decal set in the British Airways corporate scheme is included. It is a large model of the more demanding class.
The Airbus A380 is a double-deck wide-body four-engine aircraft intended for long-haul routes with a high passenger capacity. British Airways brought it into the fleet in the second half of 2013 and uses it on the busiest long-haul routes.
Glue the large fuselage sections with liquid cement for plastic, a section at a time, and keep checking the fit. Before the decals, a gloss surface and a decal softener are recommended, because the large areas and the transitions on a rounded fuselage are demanding to settle. The extensive silver and white areas come out best from an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
