An injection-molded plastic kit of the large Boeing 747-400 airliner in 1:144 scale from Revell. The Boeing 747-400 is one of the most successful versions of the legendary wide-body four-engine 747 Jumbo Jet, recognizable by the distinctive upper deck in the forward part of the fuselage. Among other things, the 400 version introduced winglets at the wingtips and updated avionics. The particular aircraft called Ed Force One was used to carry the band, the crew and the equipment to concert tours and wore striking all-over graphics. It was flown by the band's front man, who is also an airline pilot.
The large smooth fuselage calls for careful sanding of the seams and an even base; the color scheme comes into its own once a good primer and a gloss coat have been sprayed. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Apply the extensive decals onto a smooth glossy surface and use a decal softener if needed, so that they settle onto the contoured areas. Mask the flight deck glazing while spraying. A modeling stand is useful for displaying the model securely.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
