An injection-molded plastic kit of the Boeing 777-300ER long-haul wide-body airliner in 1:200 scale from the Japanese brand Hasegawa. The box states the demonstrator color scheme (Demonstrator), that is the aircraft maker's own colors rather than a particular airline. In 1:200 scale the result is a large model with a long smooth fuselage that stands out nicely in a display case next to other airliners.
The Boeing 777-300ER is the stretched long-range version of the twin-engined 777 type. It first flew in 2003 and became the mainstay of intercontinental routes all over the world. It is powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, the most powerful jet engines ever installed in an airliner. You can tell the ER version from the outside by its markedly raked wingtips, which reduce drag and increase range.
Glue the fuselage into one piece first, carefully fill the seam along the spine and sand it over. Every imperfection shows under light glossy finishes, so smooth the surface with fine sanding paper before painting and check it with a coat of filler primer. Apply the top color with an airbrush in several thin coats. Lay the decals over a gloss clear coat and settle them with a decal softener so that they do not break over the leading edges. Paint the engine nacelles and the landing gear separately and attach them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
