Injection-molded plastic kit of the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car in 1:24 scale from the German maker Revell. The box contains plastic parts, clear parts for the glazing, a decal sheet and assembly instructions. The model offers well judged breakdown of the parts and lets you leave the doors and the hood open. The kit is meant to be glued and painted.
The BMW i8 is a sports car with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that combines a gasoline engine and an electric motor. It stands out for its striking aerodynamic body, its low build and its scissor doors that open upwards. The combination of light materials and hybrid technology made it one of the most eye-catching production cars of its day and a representative of the coming era of electrification among sports cars. The futuristic design makes the i8 a rewarding subject for modelers.
The body is best painted with an airbrush after a primer has been applied, for a deep gloss. Assemble the openable doors and hood carefully so that they fit and can be shown in the open position. Glue the glazing with glue for clear parts so that it does not fog. Pick out the contrasting features of the body and the interior detail with masking and different shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
