The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL 140 Years of Innovation (Model Set) is a complete starter set of a plastic model of the legendary post-war coupe with gullwing doors in 1:24 scale from Revell.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale released in the Model Set format. The set is conceived as a complete starter package: besides the model itself it also holds the basic paints, glue and a brush, so you can start building practically as soon as the box is open. The outstanding features of the subject are the gullwing doors that open upwards and the finely rendered interior and engine bay.
The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was presented in 1954 and became famous for its characteristic doors opening upwards, which earned it the nickname Gullwing. The car was based on a light tubular space frame and was one of the first production automobiles to use direct fuel injection. An inline six, an aerodynamic body and a sporting heritage from the circuits made it one of the most admired classics in automotive history.
Separate the parts from the sprues with nippers or a sharp knife and bond them with thin cement for plastic. Fit the chromed and clear parts last, ideally with glue for clear parts, so that nothing fogs. A smooth, well polished finish is what makes the body; the paints supplied will serve for basic coloring, and for the best result an airbrush and gloss clear coat are the way to go.
The set contains the basic paints, a brush and glue for an immediate start. The model is supplied unassembled.
