1:24 Model A Standard Phaeton (1930s) is a plastic kit of the open American passenger car of the thirties from the Ukrainian maker ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of injection-molded plastic from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The real subject is the American Ford Model A passenger car in the open Standard Phaeton form as it was sold at the turn of the twenties and thirties. Phaeton denotes a body without fixed side windows, with a folding fabric roof and with room for four passengers. The number of parts, the decal schemes and the rest of the box contents are not documented here.
The Model A was the successor to the car that put America on wheels, and against it offered considerably more modern controls: an ordinary three-speed gearbox with a shift lever instead of the pedal system, and a four-cylinder engine with noticeably higher output. It was built in a wide palette of body versions from closed sedans to utility vehicles, and the open phaeton was among the airiest of them. You will recognize the cars of that day by their tall silhouette, wire wheels and strikingly curved fenders with a running board.
The open body reveals the complete interior, so finish the seats, the dashboard and the floor carefully before you put the shell together. The wire wheels offer rewarding scope for a thin wash, which will give them depth. The fenders and the frame will take a smooth gloss, whereas the fabric roof looks best flattened and lightly emphasized with a dry brush.
The kit is sold unassembled and unpainted. You will acquire the necessary glue, paints and accessories separately.
