Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from Revell represents the American sports car Shelby Mustang GT350H. The model faithfully renders the muscular shapes of the car in the iconic black and gold livery of the Hertz rental fleet. The kit has around 86 parts and the finished model measures roughly 191 mm. The box holds decals with period graphics and chrome-plated parts. The plastic is gray, so the model has to be painted to finish it.
The Shelby GT350 appeared in the middle of the 1960s as a sharp, high-performance version of the Ford Mustang reworked by Carroll Shelby's team and fitted with a spark-ignition V8 of roughly 4.7 liters. The GT350H was built for the Hertz rental company, and the letter H in the name refers to it. Customers could rent the cars in black paint with gold stripes, and some took them straight to the race track, so the model quickly built a reputation and legendary status.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Build the black base of the body over a primer and paint it in thin coats; deep black will test how smooth the surface is, so sand the panels carefully and finish with a clear coat polished to a high gloss. The gold stripes are part of the decals: apply them over a perfectly glossy base so that no bubbles form, and seal them with a clear coat. Fit the chrome-plated parts and the glazing at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
