An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann trainer biplane in 1:32 scale from ICM. The model captures the production D version with its air-cooled engine. The exact contents of the box, the number of parts and the marking schemes on offer are given in the instructions inside.
The Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann was a two-seat single-engined trainer biplane that first flew in the middle of the 1930s. It served for basic flying training and became one of the most widespread German school machines of its day; it also flew in a number of other countries and many examples survive airworthy to this day. The D version was built in large numbers.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. On a biplane, pay attention to seating the interplane struts and braces accurately and to rigging the bracing wires if you add them. Apply primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal. The fabric covering of the fuselage and wings can be brought out with a light emphasis on the panels and a mild patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
