Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 fighter biplane in its winter form, in the large 1:32 scale, made by ICM (Ukraine). The winter version carries a ski undercarriage instead of wheels. The large scale allows richer detail on the engine, the cockpit and the armament, and the finished model is a striking piece for the display case. The box holds decals for Soviet and Finnish machines.
The I-153 Chaika was the last and the most refined Soviet fighter biplane from the design bureau of N. N. Polikarpov. The characteristic cranked gull upper wing, the retractable undercarriage and the machine gun armament made it an agile machine for its day. In winter conditions the machines were often fitted with skis for operating from snow-covered surfaces. It was committed to action at the beginning of the Second World War.
In a large scale it pays to give care to the interior and the engine, which will be clearly visible. On a biplane, watch the accurate seating of the struts and the spacing of the wings with a dry fit. Handle the gluing of the plastic with thin cement. Winter camouflage combines a dark upper color with a white winter coat, which can be rubbed away in places for a worn effect.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
