An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Gloster Gladiator biplane in 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The designation J-8 corresponds to this type in service with the Swedish Air Force. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last British production biplane fighter. It entered service in the second half of the 1930s and, although modern monoplanes quickly surpassed it, it saw combat use in the early phases of the Second World War. A number of countries operated it, including Sweden, where it carried the designation J-8. An enclosed cockpit, a fixed landing gear and a radial engine are characteristic of the type.
On a biplane, take care with the exact seating of the interplane struts and with tensioning any bracing. Glue the plastic with thin cement and finish the cockpit and the interior before closing up the fuselage. After a primer, apply the camouflage scheme with an airbrush and a gloss varnish under the decals for a clean transition.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
