Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from ICM in the large 1:32 scale captures the Soviet fighter Yakovlev Yak-9T. It is a modern model from a new tooling with a finely engraved surface and a well-broken-up cockpit and powerplant. The exact contents of the package and the choice of markings are given on the box.
The Yak-9 was among the most widespread Soviet fighters of the Second World War. The Yak-9T version was the anti-tank and anti-bomber modification armed with a larger-caliber cannon that fired through the propeller hub. Moving the weapon and the cockpit aft improved the balance of the aircraft. The Yak-9T proved itself in destroying ground targets as well as heavier aircraft, and it was flown by Soviet and Allied pilots, for example in the Normandie-Niemen regiment.
The large scale shows the cockpit and the engine off well, so it pays to spend time painting and shading them. Use thin cement on the plastic, sand the joints over and treat the surface with a primer. An airbrush suits Soviet schemes; you bring out the fine engraving with thin washes and finish the panel lines before applying the decals over a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
