Transport crates for 7.5 cm ammunition for the KwK 42 gun in 1:35 scale. Crates are among the accessories that can tell a story on their own: stacked on the rear of a vehicle, piled up at a field dump or scattered around a gun, they give a scene both scale and a reason for the figures in it to be moving.
The 7.5 cm KwK 42 gun, with a barrel 70 calibers long, was carried by the German tanks of the end of the Second World War, above all by the Panther. Its rounds were long and heavy, so they were carried to the unit in crates, from which they were only transferred on the spot into the stowage inside the vehicle.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; on resin and metal, cyanoacrylate or epoxy holds. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder so that the crates meet level. Wash and degrease them before painting. The surface comes out well when a thin wash is drawn over the base shade, which stays in the seams and the corners, and when the edges are brought out with a dry brush. Rubbed-through places can then be suggested with fine stippling of a dark shade.
For builders of dioramas and vignettes with German equipment who need to fill the space around a vehicle. The vehicle model, the figures, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
