A plastic kit from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM in 1:35 scale. The set contains a pair of fire vehicles: the AC-40-137A water tender and the AR-2 hose layer. The model is supplied as injection-molded plastic and is meant to be glued and painted.
The AC-40-137A water tender represents a classic fire truck carrying the crew, the equipment and the extinguishing agent with a tank and a powerful pump. The AR-2 hose layer on a cross-country chassis serves to run out hose lines quickly by machine; its rugged box body carries separate compartments for equipment and for hose storage. The pair thus depicts fire service equipment operated in Ukraine.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic; treat the surface with a base color (primer) before painting. An airbrush suits a faithful look, the panel lines are brought out with a wash and dust or mud effects are made with pigments. Finish the bodies and the interior before you close the bodywork.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
