1:35 German engineer - WWII is a resin figure of a German combat engineer of the Second World War in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The engineer branch tends to be little represented in modeling collections, although it offers the most interesting scenes of all. This casting from the Italian workshop Royal Model fills that gap with a single figure of a soldier of the engineer service and is executed in polyurethane resin with a sharp rendering of the equipment.
Pioneers looked after everything that opened a way for an army or, on the contrary, closed one. They built and demolished bridges, set up fords and crossings over rivers, laid and cleared minefields, built field fortifications and, in an attack on a fortified position, went in with charges and flamethrowers. Special equipment went with that: bags with explosive, engineer tools, probes for finding mines and often protective gear that the rank-and-file infantry did not have.
After taking it out of the box, rid it of mold release agent and only then deal with the casting blocks, so that the cut surface does not get greasy. Small items of equipment tend to be thin on engineers and are easily cut off along with the block, so cut slowly and under the control of a magnifier. Apply the primer in two thin layers. Accentuate the tools with a metallic shade and the wooden handles with a glaze in a warm brown tone.
The goods are a raw casting intended for assembly and a finish, without a base.
