Small cloth badges and sleeve insignia are practically impossible to paint in 1:35, and yet it is exactly they that make a figure believable. It is much the same with the digital camouflage pattern on vehicles: a pixel structure is imitated with an airbrush only with difficulty, whereas a decal carries it over in a single step. The set offers two types of such a pattern, so the older and the newer treatment can be told apart.
Work on a smooth glossy surface, otherwise a silvery haze will appear under the decal. Cut the piece out as close to the printing as possible, soak it in lukewarm water and move it into place with a brush. On a broken surface a softener helps; draw the excess water off and let the decal dry thoroughly. Finally unify everything with matte varnish, so that glossy places do not stand out.
