This plastic kit in 1:35 scale from ICM captures the light standard car (leichter Einheits-Pkw) in the Kfz.4 anti-aircraft version. The vehicle carried a pair of twin machine guns on a rotating mount and served as a mobile means of close air defense. The model faithfully reproduces the body, the chassis and the armament.
Standard cars were supplied to the Wehrmacht roughly between 1936 and 1943 in light, medium and heavy variants. The Kfz.4 was based on the light chassis and was adapted for air defense with twin machine gun armament. It was deployed with ground units and with armored formations for protection against low-flying aircraft.
We recommend painting the chassis and the interior before closing up the body. Spray the machine gun mount and the fine parts with a base coat and join the assembly with liquid cement for plastic. Apply the base shade with an airbrush, then lift the edges and the surfaces with washes and dust pigments; mud effects on the chassis will give the vehicle a field look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
