Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British military truck in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The General Service designation refers to the general-purpose flatbed body, that is the most common configuration used to carry both cargo and troops. The early production qualifier distinguishes this box from another boxing of the same vehicle; what differs between the two is stated on the packaging of the particular box.
The Leyland Retriever was a British medium-tonnage truck in the 6x4 configuration, built from the 1930s, which served the British army in many roles in the Second World War. Besides the plain flatbed, the same chassis became the basis for workshop, signals and other special bodies. The vehicle had a conventional layout with the engine under a hood and a ladder frame chassis and was valued for its simplicity and its ability to move over rough ground.
Kits of this type usually have a separately built ladder frame chassis with springs and axles; it is best to finish and paint that before the cab and the body are added. Leave the wheels until the last moment, as it is easier to reach the chassis with a brush. Muted earth shades suit British equipment; after the gloss varnish and the decals it is the turn of a dark wash into the gaps and the plank joints, and dust pigments on the fenders and in the wheel arch. The wooden parts of the flatbed look better if you refine them with oil paints into the grain of the wood after the base color.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
