An extensive diorama set in 1:48 scale from ICM that captures a field airfield of a Luftwaffe bomber group. The set combines a plastic model of the twin-engine Heinkel He 111H-3 bomber, ground crew figures and airfield equipment, so it allows a complete scene from the working life of a bomber unit to be built.
Bomber groups were the core of the Luftwaffe striking power. A typical field airfield included takeoff areas, parking and servicing spots, fuel and ammunition supply, and command and signals facilities. The He 111 was one of the most widespread German bombers of the Second World War.
Build and paint the individual elements of the set separately and bring them together only in the final scene. Use thin cement on the plastic and unify the surfaces with a base coat and an airbrush. Detail shades, washes and pigments for dusty and muddy effects on the airfield surface will bring the figures and the equipment to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
