An injection-molded plastic model of the American field ambulance Ford Model T 1917 Ambulance of the First World War, in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The kit offers the choice of open or closed rear doors. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Ford Model T, nicknamed the Tin Lizzie, was the first mass-produced car in the world. On its simple, reliable chassis a whole range of utility versions was built during the First World War, field ambulances among them. These carried the wounded from the front to dressing stations in the rear; thanks to their low weight and decent mobility they proved themselves even in the muddy ground of the Western Front. Model T ambulances were often driven by volunteers.
A small civilian chassis has fine parts - work with a sharp knife and thin cement for plastic, and when gluing the wheels take care over symmetry. Spray the body over a primer; a flat wartime finish can be brought to life with a fine wash and dust effects on the chassis and the wheels. Do the red crosses on the body with decals or a mask. Open rear doors make it possible to show the interior and the stretchers.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
