A small metal set in 1:35 for the transmission cover of the Panzer IV tank gives the front of the hull sharp edges that a plastic molding does not have. The set is intended for the Dragon kit.

This small metal set from Royal Model concerns a single but conspicuous place on a model of the Panzer IV tank: the front cover of the transmission and the fittings around it. Photo-etched sheet gives the edges a sharpness that a molding from a mold cannot offer. It is based on the dimensions of the Dragon kit.
The transmission and the final drives sat at the front on German tanks, right behind the front armor. So that mechanics could get to them, the hull had a bolted opening cover in the middle and smaller hatches to the brakes at the sides. The appearance of this place changed during production and it is precisely by it that the individual production runs can be told apart. And it is a detail that on a finished model lies exactly where a viewer looks first. On later machines additional armor plates were added at the front, which partly covered the cover, and the shape of the hatches to the brakes changed as well.
It pays to offer the part up dry first and check the gaps. Then sand the original plastic shape smooth, otherwise the new sheet will not seat. Add the bolts and nuts at the very end, so that they do not break off during sanding. Once it is seated, go over the seam with thin putty and let it dry before spraying.
The vehicle itself is not included.
