An injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian maker ICM in 1:35 scale covering the German armored radio car Panzerspahwagen (Funk) P204(f). It was a captured French Panhard 178 armored car adapted for the needs of the Wehrmacht into a signals (radio) version with its characteristic frame antenna. The exact number of parts and marking options is not stated here; the binding source is the instructions in the package.
The Panhard 178 was a French 4x4 reconnaissance armored car with a rear engine and a turret with a gun. After the defeat of France in 1940 Germany took over a number of these vehicles and designated them P204(f); the letter f refers to their French origin. The Funk (signals) version carried a radio set and a conspicuous rod or frame antenna and served as a mobile communications post for command and reconnaissance units. The vehicles appeared on the Eastern Front and in occupied Europe. In practical terms it was a typical example of captured equipment used for special duties.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the interior (including the radio equipment) before closing the hull up - on this kit the inside is richly detailed. Glue the antenna with super glue and handle it carefully. Apply a primer and the base shade with an airbrush, then bring the rivets and edges out. A realistic look comes from washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the chassis and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
