A set of three turned metal barrels of 7.62 mm caliber for American Browning M-1919 A4 machine guns in 1:35 scale from Aber. An accurate replacement for plastic barrels on models of American vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of three turned metal barrels in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber, intended for the American Browning M-1919 A4 machine guns of 7.62 mm caliber. They are not models of the weapons but a detail accessory for replacing coarse plastic barrels on models of vehicles, trailers and positions.
The Browning M-1919 A4 machine gun was the standard American 7.62 mm machine gun of the Second World War and of the postwar years. It appeared on tanks, half-tracks and off-road vehicles as well as on infantry tripod mounts, so more than one of them is often needed on a single model or diorama. A characteristic feature is the perforated cooling jacket around the barrel, whose fineness injection-molded plastic usually cannot manage.
Cut the plastic barrels off at the body of the weapon and level the holes carefully. Fit the metal parts dry, check their direction and then fix them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) on a degreased surface. Take the metal over with a primer intended for metals. Weapons look convincing in a dark shade with a restrained sheen, without overdone metallic paint.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
