1:35 Set of Russian Aerials R-123 is a set of three turned metal aerials for the R-123 radio set, for Soviet and Russian tanks.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three turned metal aerials for the R-123 radio set, as carried by Soviet and Russian tanks from the 1960s onward. It is not a model but a replacement part. The plastic aerial from the kit tends to be thick, often warped from the mold and easily broken when handled. The metal replacement is thin, straight and far more durable.
Drill the hole in the aerial base out to the diameter of the shank; the metal aerial then sits square and will not wobble. It is glued with cyanoacrylate, as solvent cement for plastic does not work here. Degrease the part and apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth metal. On the real vehicle the aerial was often bent back and tied down to the rear deck, which gives the model a sense of movement and reduces the risk of catching on it.
The set contains the aerials only. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
