This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter captures the Soviet 122 mm heavy corps gun A-19 of the 1931/1937 model. The package contains a metal barrel and photo-etched parts. The model is supplied as a set of parts to be assembled and painted.
The 122 mm A-19 gun came about by combining the barrel of the Model 1931 gun with the carriage of the 152 mm ML-20 gun-howitzer Model 1937. It was put into production at the end of the 1930s and was used during the Second World War and for long afterwards as a capable corps and counter-fortification weapon with a long range. It served with the Red Army and with a number of other armies.
Assemble the carriage and the wheel set carefully, so that the gun stands stably and the trail legs can be spread. Glue the plastic with a thin modeling cement, and the metal barrel and the etched parts with cyanoacrylate. A base coat and an airbrush prove their worth; you will bring Soviet green to life with a wash into the recesses and a fine dust shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
