A combined plastic kit, T-34-76 with Soviet Tank Riders, in 1:35 scale from ICM. It contains a model of the Soviet T-34 medium tank with a 76 mm gun and, in addition, a set of four tank rider figures of the kind that rode directly on the hull of the tank while it was moving. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package go by the instructions.
The T-34 with the 76 mm gun was the main Soviet medium tank until the end of 1944, when the T-34-85 version with heavier armament began to replace it in production. It was marked by sloped armor and good mobility across country. Infantry was often carried directly on the tanks as tank riders, so as to keep up the pace with the advancing armored formations.
On the tank, finish the running gear and the lower hull before you close it up. Spray a primer and the base coat with an airbrush; create the weathering with washes into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the tracks and the underside. Paint the rider figures separately and place them on the tank only after spraying, so that the scene looks natural.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
