An accessory set of square auxiliary fuel tanks for a model of the Soviet T-34 tank in 1:35 scale, in the version designated mod. 1943. It replaces the parts from the kit and also serves as an accessory where a kit does not contain them at all.
Auxiliary tanks are among the features by which a viewer recognizes a particular production batch of a vehicle, and at the same time they break up the smooth sides of the hull. On real machines they were also parts that were easily scuffed and dented, so soiling and chipped paint look natural on them and benefit a model in appearance as well.
Cut the excess material and manufacturing marks off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest gently. Wash and degrease the parts before painting; grease will not let a primer take. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: modeling cement is enough for polystyrene kit parts, while for other materials reach for super glue. Suggest the brackets and straps with thin material or take them over from the kit; it is exactly they that settle the whole assembly. Paint the tanks separately and fit them to the model at the end, as you will then reach the surfaces behind them more easily.
For builders of T-34 models in 1:35 scale who want to complete the hull with equipment matching a later version. Check the placement of the tanks on a particular machine in the instructions for your own kit and against period photographs, because it differed between individual production batches.
