The late series of the Tiger I had different wheels, a different cupola and different equipment, and the set 1:35 Tiger I Late version renders those differences in thin sheet. The target kit: Tamiya.

This item from the Italian maker Royal Model is aimed at the last production series of the heavy tank Tiger I. It replaces the plastic features where the thickness of the material is most visible in scale, and it completes the small details that a kit usually only suggests. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
From the middle of 1944, Tigers left the line with road wheels with internal springing, on which the rubber in short supply was dispensed with. The cast commander's cupola received periscopes and a ring mount for an anti-aircraft machine gun, the front of the hull carried a single headlight and the gunsight changed to a monocular one. The protective compound against magnetic mines stopped being applied in the autumn of 1944. The last machines fought on both fronts until the end of the war, when breakdowns and a lack of fuel put them out of action more often than enemy fire.
Try dry where each part belongs and only then fix it: a metal component can be taken off once dry only at a cost. Level the edges after snipping with a fine file. The gray or three-color camouflage coat of the end of the war will take marked dirtying with mud, which will moreover hide any imperfections in the joints.
Get your own kit, glue and paints ready for the set: they are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
