This set brings ten finely rendered tow pintles for American trucks and military vehicles in 1:35 scale. The parts are made by Elefant using 3D printing and resin casting. This is not a vehicle model but a fine accessory that replaces the simplified parts of plastic kits and also suits dioramas.
A pintle is a towing eye with a latch by which a trailer, a gun or other equipment was coupled behind a vehicle. On American trucks of the Second World War and of postwar service it was a typical feature of the rear end. Ten pieces in the package will cover several vehicles or make it possible to equip a whole column in a diorama.
Separate the resin parts from the casting blocks with a sharp cutter, clean them and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend a primer before painting; the latch and the pin will stand out once a dark wash is laid in and the edges are brought up dry. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
