A set of three plastic kits of German off-road vehicles in 1:35 scale: the Kfz.1, the Horch 108 Typ 40 and the L1500A. Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Wehrmacht used a whole range of off-road vehicles from light passenger cars to trucks with all-wheel drive. The Kfz.1 was a light standardized passenger car for liaison and reconnaissance, the Horch 108 Typ 40 was one of the heavy standardized passenger cars for staffs and commanders, and the L1500A was a light truck with all-wheel drive which served to carry cargo as well as troops. All three types could be seen on the same roads and they complement one another in a scene regardless of the theater.
The set brings together three separate plastic kits in 1:35 scale. Each vehicle is built on its own and they can be used singly, in a pair or all three together in one scene. The kits are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
First finish and paint the chassis and the interiors, because on open cars the inside of a finished body is visible. Window frames and canvas covers are easier to paint before they are fitted. On off-road vehicles it pays to mark dust and caked mud on the tires and in the wheel arches, because that is exactly what sets wheeled vehicles apart from tracked ones. Have the tires seated on the base so that the flattening points toward the ground.
The set suits modelers who build German vehicles of the Second World War and want to complement their tanks and guns with wheeled vehicles, as well as builders of scenes who can use several vehicles from one package. Paints, glue and putty are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
