This combined box from the Ukrainian firm ICM, from its range of themed sets, brings together several plastic kits of passenger cars that served with the German army in the Second World War to carry people. It is a way to get the basis of a whole column or diorama at once.
During the war the German army operated a varied mixture of passenger cars - from requisitioned civilian sedans through standardized military passenger cars to light off-road vehicles. They carried officers, runners and staff documents on every front. It is exactly this everyday, non-combat transport that gives dioramas their credibility, and at modeling competitions it tends to be a rewarding change among the tanks.
Build and paint each car separately - the bodies benefit from a clean smooth coat applied with an airbrush over primer. A single camouflage tone across the set will unify the column, while small differences in weathering (dust, mud on the fenders, scuffs) will tell the individual cars apart. Glue the cabin glazing with a cement that does not fog it, ideally PVA.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
