Inconspicuous and yet ever-present equipment of every warehouse. Royal Model casts the pallets in resin with legible wood grain and gaps between the boards, so that a fresh board shows up on them just as well as an edge worn down over the years. They are supplied without paint and without glue.
Pallet transport spread during the Second World War, when the American army needed to load supplies faster than crate by crate; from there it reached civilian warehouses all over the world. In a diorama the pallets therefore sit well in a supply area, by the platform of a railroad station, in a workshop and in a modern logistics scene. Stacked on top of one another they fill an empty corner, while scattered about they suggest haste or disorder.
A light sand-colored base, glazes of several brown and gray tones over it so that no two boards look the same. Bring out the individual boards with a thin dark line in the gaps. Suggest the worn corners with a lighter shade, not with silver. A dry brush adds the gray of weathering and pigments the mud on the bottom edges. Resin joints will take nothing but cyanoacrylate glue.
Paints and glue have to be bought separately.
